PROGRAMS I USE:
I primarily use Adobe Premiere Pro CC, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition and Audacity for editing video and audio. I am also proficient with other video editors, and I am a novice animator. MORE ABOUT ME
I am a senior in high school, enrolled in duPont Manual's Journalism and Communication program. There I serve as the online news publication's Editor in Chief and the broadcast publication's Technical Director--last year I also served as TD for Manual AM, and for RedEye I served as Video Editor. This year I occupy my time by fulfilling my editorial roles and taking on big multimedia projects, ranging from multimedia reports to music videos, each more ambitious and complex than the last.
This just scrapes the surface of my qualifications. When I consider why I feel proud of my work, or why I would hire myself as an employee, it all comes back to the sheer amount of work I have put into developing my style and navigating through (and innovating with) the programs I use. The summer after my sophomore year, in order to prepare for my role as Video Editor, I forced myself to learn the ins and outs of Premiere Pro by producing one video a week for my personal YouTube. Two years and over a hundred videos later, I constantly have multiple video projects in my "Working Projects" folder, and I have created a new path in my high school's communications program for students interested in multimedia.
